POWERGRID hands 4 Vehicle mounted road Vacuum Sweeper Machines, 1 Ballistic separator, 1 JCB loader to DC Samba under CSR

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) today handed four Vehicle mounted road Vacuum Sweeper Machines, one Ballistic separator and one JCB loader for Samba District to District Development Commissioner, Samba under CSR initiative.

Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of POWERGRID, the equipment was handed over by Shri Abhay Kumar, CGM (AM) ,POWERGRID and  Shri Vinod P. Baxla, General Manager (HR) on behalf of POWERGRID to Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government of J&K-Housing & Urban Development Department  and Shri Abhishek Sharma, IAS, District Development Commissioner, Samba in the presence of senior officers from POWERGRID and Samba District administration.

The cost of the handed over equipment is approximately Rs. 1.42 crores.

On this occasion Ms. Mandeep Kour and Sh. Abhishek Sharma thanked POWERGRID for taking up this CSR initiativefor providing hygienic infrastructure in the samba district which will benefit the common masses of Samba district.

As a responsible Corporate Citizen, POWERGRID has been extending support for development of various infrastructure activities in the Jammu province through its CSR initiatives amounting to more than Rs. 4 crore during last three years.
