If there is one politician who plays politics by the rules of the game it’s Ghulam Nabi Azad. He has consistently been speaking uniformly on terrorism without any political consideration. Now he made it clear that he doesn’t believe in playing politics over terrorism. This is a lesson for all the politicians who think that speaking against incidents of terrorism in Kashmir or elsewhere is a good idea to expose the government’s failure. Terrorism is a global problem, but for India, it’s a double whammy since it’s sponsored by a country and is cross-border terrorism. The initiative is always in the hands of the outside force and we can prevent incidents of terror and react. The incidents of violence that have been prevented from happening are not quantifiable. The single incident that leads to the loss of lives and martyrdom of our soldiers gets magnified and affects a large number of people. The politicians of our country need to learn from Azad to keep politics and national security separate.
