THE SECOND WAVE

J&K’s tally on CIOVID-19 infections is slowly and steadily coming down and yet there is no scope of throwing caution to the winds. The world over it has been seen that a second and even third wave comes after people and governments became tax with SOPs. Let people in J&K continue to follow the rule of wearing a face mask and maintaining social distance to ward off the next wave of this horrible viral disease. The government must advertise this through media to educate and sensitise the people. The challenge of not allowing the virus to return is a big and yet not insurmountable one. With the winter around, the healthcare system usually gets overstretched and if we are not careful enough to prevent another wave of COVID-19 the system would be at the risk of a collapse.
