Katra, August 22 : The School of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), in collaboration with the Innovation and Incubation Council (IIC), celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day with a special event aimed at fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among students. The event was organized by Dr. Varun Dutta, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, and Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Assistant Professors at SMVDU. The highlight of the event were expert lectures delivered by Mr. Sourab Mengi, Assistant Manager at the Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Business Modelling at JKEDI, and Mrs. Shivani Sharma, Assistant Faculty at JKEDI. Their talks focused on the latest policies and opportunities in the startup and innovation ecosystem provided by JKEDI, offering valuable insights to aspiring entrepreneurs among the students. Prof. R.K. Mishra, Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Sanjeev Anand, Convener of IIC, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in today’s competitive world.
