
Ramban, August 9: The Social Welfare Department, Ramban, in collaboration with Government Degree College (GDC) Banihal, organized a noteworthy event under the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free India Campaign), guided by DC Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
The campaign commenced with a gathering at GDC Banihal, where students, faculty, and community members assembled under the slogan “Say No to Drugs and Yes to LIfe”. A pledge cermony ensured, with participants committing to exemplify a life free from drug use.
The event forms part of a broader series of activities across Ramban, encompassing awareness camps, rallies, and outreach programs, all designed to disseminate the anti-drug message under the overall supervision of DSWO Ramban, Rahul Gupta. The collaboration between the SWD and GDC Banihal illustrates the strength of community action in forging a drug-free future. Social worker, Musavir Giri, moderated the program and ensured successful conduction of the program.
