Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Rudraksh Plantation at Kameshwar Temple, Akhnoor

Akhnoor, August 19 : In a heartfelt celebration of Raksha Bandhan, the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) took a unique step towards environmental conservation by planting Rudraksh saplings at the sacred Kameshwar Temple in Akhnoor. This green initiative was led by Dr. Sonia Verma, Director of SGWF, and Reeta Verma, National President of SGWF, in collaboration with Mahamandelshwar Mahant Rameshwar Dass.

Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the bond of protection, finds a deep spiritual connection with the Rudraksh, a divine seed believed to provide protection and blessings. By planting Rudraksh saplings, SGWF beautifully merged the festival’s essence with environmental consciousness, ensuring that the tradition of safeguarding loved ones extends to safeguarding nature as well.

Dr. Sonia Verma emphasized the importance of integrating traditional festivals with environmental consciousness, stating, “Raksha Bandhan symbolizes protection. By planting Rudraksh, we are extending this protection to our environment, ensuring a sustainable and sacred future for coming generations.”

Reeta Verma highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to environmental causes and the role of community participation in such initiatives. “This event is a reminder that our cultural practices can be harmoniously aligned with the need for environmental stewardship,” she said.

Mahamandelshwar Mahant Rameshwar Dass expressed his gratitude towards SGWF for choosing the temple as the site for this noble cause and encouraged the community to follow this example in preserving nature. The SGWF’s Rudraksh plantation drive is part of a broader initiative to promote environmental awareness and sustainability across the region. As a symbol of divine protection, the Rudraksh plants will stand as a testament to the community’s dedication to preserving the environment.
