Shiv Sena released a poster to stay away from drugs

Jammu, 27 July : Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir released a poster on the birthday of party chief Uddhav Thackeray and gave the message to the youth to stay away from drugs and distributed food among the poor and needy people.In a program organized at the party’s state central office, party state chief Manish Sahni released a poster calling drugs the gateway to destruction and appealed to the youth to stay away from it.He said that drugs harm not only the individual but also his family, society and  entire the nation.

Sahni said that the statistics of drug smuggling and drug addiction in Jammu-Kashmir are horrifying. In the last three years, there has been a 1500% increase in the use of drugs. Out of the total 13 million population of the Union Territory of Jammu-Kashmir, an estimated 10 lakh people have become victims of drug addiction.  Jammu and Kashmir is becoming a hub of drug addiction. There are about 6 lakh youth addicts here, out of which 90 percent are in the age group of 17-33. He said that youth is the strength of our nation. The country whose youth is healthy, no one can stop that country from becoming Vishwa Guru (world leader) and moving on the path of progress.

 On this occasion, food packets were distributed among the poor and helpless people. Shiv Sainiks prayed for the better health and long life of their party chief. On this occasion president mehila wing Meenakshi Chhibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, President Kamghar wing Raj Singh, Vice president Balwant Singh,Sanjeev Kohli, Pawan Singh were present.
