Jammu : Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC, Ankush Abrol has castigated the UT administration of J&K for making the lives of people miserable with its host of anti-people policies and decisions.
While interacting with youth, Ankush Abrol said that we stand committed for secularism and social equality. He appealed to the youth of J&K to come forward and launch a movement for “Parivartan” and restoration of elected political dispensation in J&K which is being denied to people of J&K on different pretexts.
He said, “Inflation is skyrocketing as the price of all essential commodities has peaked in J&K. All the small and medium businesses have been destroyed and overall the economy is stuck somewhere as no new investments are made in J&K.”
Now, they want to get rid of bureaucratic rule and waiting for the popularly elected government,” Abrol further said. He maintained that bureaucratic rule is no substitute for the popularly elected government.
He also appealed to the govt. to fill all the vacant posts in all the departments of J&K administration on a fast track basis.
Also addressing, Dr Vikas Sharma Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) reiterated the party’s stand with respect to restoration of statehood with full powers to address the aspirations of people.
He flayed the Govt for its hollow promises to bring “Achhe Din” (good days) as mere basic facilities like water and power are still not fully available as per the requirement of the public.
He described such moves as desperate acts of diverting attention as the BJP government has failed in generating employment and providing ‘two crores’ of jobs every year promised in successive elections since 2014.
Blaming the Centre govt for complete mess in J&K post August 5, 2019 when its special status was removed and it was downgraded to the level of Union Territory, he said, “Unemployment rate is the highest in J&K and there is lack of transparency in recruitment processes owing to which youth has turned pessimistic and suffering from depression. Their families are also under depressive state of mind and staring at a dark future.”
“The administration is imposing tax after tax on the people but has failed to mitigate their sufferings which include rocketing prices of essential commodities”, he added. He said that the National Conference will oppose all the anti-people policies of the government and will fight tooth and nail to bring justice.
Dr Vikas also urged the youth to support and strengthen NC in the forthcoming Assembly election.
