Ramban: Implementing the annual calendar of Activities issued by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and on the directions of the J&K Legal Services Authority, second National Lok Adalat of the year 2024 was held at District Court Complex Ramban and other sub-ordinate Courts today by District Judiciary, Ramban under the Chairmanship and guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Ramban, Ranbir Singh Jasrotia, which was assisted by Advocate A.R. Mushtaq.
In the said National Lok Adalat, eight benches were constituted across all Courts of District Ramban for amicable and speedy settlement of the cases. A total no. of 761 cases i.e. 701 Post-litigation and 60 Pre-litigation cases were taken up, out of which 521 Post-litigation and 07 Pre-litigation cases were disposed off with a settlement amount of Rs. 89,10,800/- in Post-litigation cases. Thus, a total settlement award amount of Rs. 89,10,800/- was settled out.
