Jammu 23 Jul 2024 :Major General Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, Additional Director General, NCC Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh (JK&L) Directorate, complimented the exceptional achievements of the 16 Shooters ( Boys and Girls) of the Directorate in the Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Championship held at Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu from 02 to 15 July, 2024. The cadet’s performances were nothing short of remarkable, significantly surpassing the results of the past two years. As a result, five cadets out of 16 have earned selection for the esteemed G V Mavlankar Shooting Competition, a testament of their skill and dedication.
During the felicitation, Maj Gen Sachdeva commended the cadets for their relentless effort and commitment over the past three months. “Your dedication and hard work have brought immense pride and recognition to our Directorate,” he remarked, emphasizing the importance of their achievements.
In addition to honoring the sports shooting team, Maj Gen Sachdeva also recognized the cadets who undertook the challenging mountaineering expedition to Mount Kang Yatse-II. This adventurous journey tested the cadet’s determination and courage. Their successful summit of the peak stands as a testament to their formidable willpower and resilience.
“The grit and bravery displayed by these cadets in both the sports shooting Championship and the Mountaineering Expedition are truly commendable,” Maj Gen Sachdeva stated. Maj Gen Sachdeva also emphasized the role of NCC in providing such incredible facilities which can give wings to the dreams of many cadets. He extended his best wishes to all the cadets for their future endeavors, expressing confidence in their bright prospects.
