Indian Army carried out a lecture on ‘Nari Sashaktikaran Yojana’ to spread awareness of the flagship initiative by the Govt of India dedicated to the empowerment of women. The villagers were acquainted by the hope and progress spread by the Nari Sashaktikaran Yojana. The villagers were informed about the numerous initiatives under the Yojana including ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana’.
The community was also informed about the ‘Mahila Shakti Kendra’ which aims to empower rural women by providing them training and resources to become self-reliant. They were also made aware of the ‘Sukanya Samridhi Yojana’ to encourage saving for the girl child’s future. The villagers displayed sense of responsibility towards women and promised to support and strengthen the initiatives under ‘Nari Sashaktikaran Yojana’ to create a society where women will are empowered to achieve their dreams and contribute to the progress of the community. The event was attended by 34 local women and six girls from the villages.
