GDC Vijaypur organises Pledge Taking Ceremony under Swachhta Pakhwada

Vijaypur, 1 Aug : As part of the series of events being organized under “Swachhta Pakhwada” a swacchta pledge was taken by students, NSS Volunteers and staff members (both teaching and non-teaching) of the
college reaffirming their commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. The Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign was inagurated by NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal of the college Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Verma.

Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) while speaking on the occasion stated that cleanliness is the most important habit one can possess, as cleanliness and health are interrelated. If we clean, we can fight off and prevent many diseases, especially communicable diseases. Moreover, cleanliness enhances our physical, mental, and spiritual health. There are many more potentially dangerous conditions that can be prevented and cured by proper hygiene.

The Swachhta Pakhwada was organized with the full support and coordination of the senior faculty members of the college Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) and Dr. Anoop Bhagat (HOD Sociology). The event was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education and NSS Coordinator) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) and co-coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography).
