Jammu, August 16 :- After ten years, people are going to get a chance to elect their government in Jammu and Kashmir, we strongly welcome the announcement of dates for assembly elections by the Election Commission, stated by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit.
Expressing his reaction on the announcement of dates by the Election Commission, party state chief Manish Sahni said that he strongly welcomes the restoration of democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that now it is the turn of the people to give a strong reply to those who cheated and betrayed them with their right to vote. Those who divided Jammu and Kashmir into two parts, snatched the status of the state and looted the resources of Jammu and Kashmir along with violating the rights of the local people should be taught a tough lesson.
Responding to the question of participating in the elections, Sahni said that Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates will contest the elections on all 90 seats of Jammu and Kashmir with the pledge of fulfilling the aspirations of the people like better health, education facilities along with free electricity-water and unemployment allowance for the youth and regularization of daily wagers.
