Jammu, August 10 : Sequel to the activities and events organized for observing Vigilance Awareness week , NSS unit in collaboration with Red Ribbon club and Sports committee organized an awareness lecture and rally on Vigilance Awareness. The event commenced with the lecture wherein Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary, HOD Economics and Convenor Red Ribbon club, made students, teaching and non-teaching staff apprised of the menace of corruption. In her impressive lecture she gave a detailed picture of importance of the event which is one of the Participtive Vigilance Commission in the fight against corruption. It is an awareness building and outreach measure which aims to bring together all the stakeholders. Thereafter a rally too was organized for the same. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college enthusiastically participated in the rally with a message to generate awareness in the public at large about the ill effects of corruption.
The whole event was well organized and conducted by Dr.Purvaiya Hans, HOD History and NSS Proramme Officer along with her team. Worthy Principal Dr. G S Rakwal appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and also encouraged the students to participate in such type of events in future as well.
