Shiv Sena demands the formation of a team to investigate Pvt. coaching centres

Jammu, 30 July : Shivsena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit, after the tragic incident of a coaching centre in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, has demanded from Jammu-Kashmir administration to be cautious before any incident and to crack down on coaching centres running in Jammu-Kashmir  to intensify other set standards including security.

In a press conference held today at the party’s state central office, state chief Manish Sahni said that there is a plethora of coaching centres in Jammu-Kashmir. Most of the coaching centres have made education a business.  Taking lessons from the tragic incident in Delhi, Shiv Sena(UBT)  demands to  formation of district level investigation team in Jammu and Kashmir, strict investigation of registration, entry and exit arrangements, security standards, building bylaws, fire safety, emergency management arrangements of coaching institutes and strict action against coaching centres which are not found to be up to the prescribed standards. Sahni said that according to the guidelines announced by the centre education ministry a few months ago, coaching institutes cannot admit students below 16 years of age and cannot make misleading promises like guarantee of good marks or rank. He said that if investigation is done at the ground level, then most of the coaching centres are openly flouting the government guidelines. Sahni has demanded from the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Hon. Manoj Sinha, to issue strict guidelines regarding the above demands and considering the safety of students as important, formation of district level investigation committees and investigation of coaching centres.
