Bholenath Cricket Club Lifts the Final of 3rd Ragubir Memorial Cricket Tournament.

Jammu : In a thrilling finale, Bholenath Cricket Club emerged victorious in the final match of the 3rd Ragubir Memorial Cricket Tournament, held at Chak Singha Ground in Lower Jandial Panchayat, Mathwar Block.


Organized by social activist Pintu Chib, the tournament saw a series of exciting matches that culminated in a spectacular final. Total 32 Teams participated in the tournament organised free of cost for the players. More than 500 players participated in the tournament. 

The event was graced by Chief Guest Atul Sudan, Youth Activist, and Ex-Sarpanch, along with Congress Leader Balbir Singh of Kathar Upper Block Dansal. Ex-Sarpanch Balbir Singh of Upper Jandial, Congress State Secretary Thakur Hoshiar Singh, Babu Khan, and other dignitaries were also present.

The final match was played between Mahadev Cricket Club and Bholenath Cricket Club. Bholenath Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mahadev Cricket Club, batting first, managed to score 81 runs in 12 overs, losing all their wickets. Mohit of Mahadev Cricket Club made a significant contribution with 25 runs. Deva from Bholenath Cricket Club showcased exceptional bowling skills, taking 5 wickets for just 5 runs.

In response, Bholenath Cricket Club successfully chased the target in the 10th over, losing just 6 wickets. Kirpal was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Rajinder from Mahadev Cricket Club took 3 wickets. Deva’s outstanding performance earned him the title of Man of the Match, while Kannu was judged Man of the Series. Bali was named Best Fielder and Pardeep was recognized as Best Umpire.

Th. Balbir Singh urged the youth to stay away from drugs and incorporate sports into their daily routines. He emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the role of sports in achieving it.

Atul Sudan highlighted the need for improved sports infrastructure in the region, demanding the establishment of both outdoor and indoor stadiums for the youth of Mathwar Block. 

Other notable attendees included Vikas Singh, Anil Sharma, Nitin Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Shambhu Sharma, and Shiv.
