DB enchance Rs 10000/- more cost imposed on Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. Irrigation, Flood Control & PHE Department
In a Public Interest Litigation filed Inderjeet Khajuria President All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association Jammu espouses public causes including creation of Artificial Lake in River Tawi and Gandola Project from Mubarakh Mandi to Bahu Fort, A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Acting Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Rajesh Sekri enhanced Rs 10000/- more costs imposed on Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. Irrigation, Flood Control & PHE Department.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, DB observed that Vide order dated 28.10.2020 opportunity was granted to the respondents to file the status report subject to the payment of personal costs of Rs. 15,000/- by the Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. Irrigation, Flood Control & PHE Department, however, the Registry has not reported with regard to depositing of the aforesaid costs.
DB directed Registry to to verify whether the aforesaid costs have been deposited or not and in case the same is not deposited the costs shall be enhanced to an additional amount of Rs. 10,000/-, i.e., total Rs. 25,000/-, which shall be paid by or before the next date of hearing.
DB also directed AAG to file latest status report. (JNF)
