Doda : Taking forward its legacy in promotion of sports activities in the region after 15 successful Gufran National Level Cricket Championships, the District Doda’s premier Sports Club i.e Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda is holding 05 days All India Gufran Global Coaching Camp at Doda from August 25th, 2024.
First of its kind in Chenab region, the 05 days coaching camp will be held exclusively for different age groups viz U-12, U-14, U-16, U-19 and U-22 age group.
Speaking to the media persons on the occasion, earlier the Patron YSCC Doda Mr Manzoor Ahmed Batt along with other officials, officially declared and nominated Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi as Chief Executive Officer of this 05 days All India Coaching Camp which shall commence in Doda- J&K from August 2024 onwards.
While giving more detail about this new initiative, Patron YSCC Doda Mr Batt informed that the camp shall be conducted at Doda’s Sports Stadium where certified coaches and reputed International Cricketer & Fitness Trainers will provide comprehensive cricket training to students & young cricketers of different age groups with the aim to inculcate budding cricketers with nuances of the game from young age.
The main purpose of starting 05 days coaching camp is to nurture young cricketers of this region, UT and different parts of the country at the grass root level and intends to be nursery for producing cricketers for bigger stage,” said Patron YSCC.
Chairman YSCC Mr Naseer Khora has appealed all the young cricketers and Head of Institutions to encourage their students to participate in this transformative event, which will not only enhance their cricketing skills but also instill discipline, teamwork and passion towards sports activities. The CEO of the camp,Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi said that the 05 days coaching camp which is first of its kind in Doda’s chenab region will help us in streamlining cricket activities and providing opportunity to talented young cricketers across the region, to showcase their hidden talent.
