Bhaderwah June 06 : The Department of Computer Science at Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, organized the “TECH KNOW EXPERT” 2K24 Fresher cum Farewell function for the students of Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) and Masters of Computer Sciences (MCA). The event, aptly named “TECHNO WONDERLAND,” was a blend of induction, welcoming the new batch, and bidding farewell to the outgoing students.
Prof. J P Singh Joorel, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his inspirational address, Prof. Joorel warmly welcomed the freshers, emphasizing the significance of their new journey and assuring them of his full support and accessibility. He stated, “Our campus is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can thrive. I am available 24×7 to support and guide you in your academic and personal endeavors.”
Prof. Joorel also extended his heartfelt wishes to the outgoing students, appreciating their contributions and promising a due farewell celebration. “You have made us proud, and as you step into the next phase of your life, remember that you carry the values and knowledge from this campus. We will always be here to support you,” he added.
Dr. Jatinder Manhas, Incharge Department of Computer Science, addressed the students with great enthusiasm. He appreciated the efforts of the BCA and MCA 4th-semester students in organizing the event and welcomed the freshers with motivating words. “Your dedication and hard work are commendable. To the new students, seize every opportunity, work hard, and you will achieve your goals. To the outgoing batch, I wish you success in all your future endeavors,” Dr. Manhas expressed.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Abid Sarwar, followed by an insightful speech detailing the significance of the event, departmental infrastructure, and course offerings. The judges for the event, Dr. Shayan Javeed and Ms. Hardeep Kour, evaluated the performances and activities conducted during the function.
Prominent faculty members present at the event included Dr Ashok Sharma, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Dr. Ajay Lakhnotra, Ms. Bablu Sharma, Ms. Shallu Kotwal, Mr. Abrar Ali, Ms. Priya Rani, Mr. Waseem Akram, Mr. Yassir Ali, and Mr. Pervash. Their presence added to the grandeur of the function, making it a memorable day for all attendees.
