Jammu : In view of Prime Minister’s of India’s Statement for holding elections in J&K Provincial President Jammu Province Mr Rattan Lal Gupta interacted with the District Presidents of Jammu Urban, Rural “A” and Rural “B” at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan Jammu, today in which other senior colleagues also were present during the course of discussions. Mr Gupta impressed upon the District Presidents to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly elections for which Election Commission of India has also issued special summary revision in J&K.
He said these elections are crucial for the J&K as for the last ten years no elections for the legislative Assembly have been held people of J&K are desperately waiting for the elections to be announced so that there are able to choose their representatives to sort out their genuine issues.
Mr Gupta said that it will be good for the people of J&K to restore statehood before announcing the Assembly elections to strengthen the democratic values. The J&K has remained a historical state in the past and it deserves statehood in the larger interest of the people of J&K.
