To evaluate the healthcare services and facilities provided to the community, the Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Om Kumar on 22-05-2024 visited PHC Bharath and AAM- Sub Centre Bhelli in Medical Block Ghat District Doda.
The visit was a part of the ongoing efforts by the health department to monitor and improve the healthcare standard across the District and the purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand knowledge about the hospital’s infrastructure, patient care and the overall healthcare delivery system.
During his visit to the newly constructed PHC Bharath, the CMO Doda took a detailed round of all the sections of the hospital and were pleased to observe that all sections of the PHC were working in close coordination with each other.
While interacting with the staff on duty, the CMO issued strict instructions to them to maintain punctuality and to keep up to date data of all records. He directed the BMO concerned to regularly conduct surprise visits to health centres to ensure their clock work efficiency and effectively.
Maintaining that patient care should be top priority, the CMO directed the concerned to make optimum use of the resources available for the better patient care. He underlined that the goal is to ensure that the health facilities meet the highest standards and we are able to provide effective healthcare services to the patients living in far flung areas.
During the visit, a public delegation of Bharath called on CMO, wherein they put forth several issues. CMO gave them a patient hearing and assured to take up the issue with the concerned authorities for early redressal. On the demand of locals, the CMO directed the BMO Ghat to make old PHC building functional for the locals on a rotational basis where Routine Immunization and other first aid services shall be given in the interest of better patient care.
Later CMO visited AAM- Sub Centre Bhelli and took a detailed stock of health facilities, check record and attendance of the staff.
The CMO was accompanied by Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor, BMEO NHM Ghat Mr Mashhood Latif besides officials from Dy CMO Office Doda viz Mr Ravinder Singh and Mr Pawan Kumar.
