Jammu : In a grand ceremony hosted by FM channel 92.7 Big FM, Dr. Varinder Sharma, a distinguished consultant sonologist and proprietor of A-One Ultrasound Clinic, was honoured with the “Doc You Rock – Honouring Doctors for Their Relentless Efforts and Compassionate Care” award. The event took place at Hotel Taj Vivanta and was graced by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Romesh Kumar and renowned neurologist Dr. Sushil Razdan jointly presented the awards.
Dr. Varinder Sharma, besides being a practicing sonologist, is also an accomplished artist and a regular columnist who writes on multiple subjects. His dedication to both the medical field and the arts was celebrated during the ceremony, marking the first-ever doctors’ award event organized in Jammu to honour the unsung heroes of healthcare who had immensely contributed in their respective specialised fields.
The evening recognized the invaluable contributions of the medical fraternity, who serve humanity with humility and dedication. Dr. Varinder Sharma, mentored by Dr. Suresh, the father of Ultrasound in India, has made significant strides in the field of ultrasound and has been a beacon of expertise and care in the community. Apart from his medical career, Dr. Sharma’s passion for music and filmmaking was also acknowledged.
His short film won the Best Short Film award, and a popular Punjabi song he directed garnered over two billion views, showcasing his multifaceted talent. The memorable event highlighted the exceptional efforts of doctors who bring healing, hope, and happiness to their patients and Dr. Varinder Sharma’s contributions stood out as a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence in both medicine and the arts.
