On the momentous occasion of 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas Indian Army organized a “Know your Army” event at Budhal, Rajouri to honour the valour and sacrifices of the soldiers who fought the Kargil war. The event encompassed display of specialised equipment ranging from latest state-of the art weapons and even day/night surveillance devices. A talk on ‘How to join Armd forces’ and ‘Life in Army’ was also organised along with the weapon display.
The event was attended by children from nearby villages. The event was aimed to foster understanding of AWAM with the ‘Armed Forces’ and to focus on community engagement. Children were invited to explore various weapons, accompanied by informative sessions highlighting the importance of defence, peacekeeping, and ‘National Security’. The event also served as a genuine effort to sculpt a better future for the present generation and help them become an active element of the ‘Nation’s Mainstream’.
