Jammu, 26 July : Kargil Vijay Diwas observed annually on 26 th July, marks the victory of Indian armed forces in the Kargil Conflict of 1999. This day stands as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers, who defend the nations sovereignty. To Honour this significant event Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College, Lt. Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma (ANO Boys Bn.), Dr. Shafia Saleem (ANO Girls Bn.), Senior Faculty members . Prof Lekh Raj, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Dr. Sunil Dutt, Prof. Rajesh Bhardwaj & NCC Cadets of the College organized the candle lighting and floral tribute to the brave Kargil Martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War in 1999.
The event started with welcome address by Lt. Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, he stressed upon to help the Kith and Kins of Martyrs in College Campus, whenever required. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta delivered a heartfelt speech emphasizing the bravery and commitment of the soldiers and significance of remembering their sacrifices . He also stressed upon to make the campus drugs free. He encouraged and appreciated the efforts of ANO’s, staff and NCC cadets. The function ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Shafia Saleem.
